A Heritage Built on Standards Rugby doesn’t wait for a warm, sunny day - it relishes the rain and mud.
When we set out to revitalize Monilex we looked to the origins of what has always made rugby apparel special - classic gear built to withstand the rigours of the game, and look good doing it. From a construction standpoint you can’t cut corners with rugby garments - the nature of the game doesn’t allow it. Seams must be built to last. Fabrics need to perform in all kinds of weather in scrums and tackles.
We have always been synonymous with quality products and caring about the rugby community. This means training gear constructed with heavy weight cottons and flat lock stitching. Rugby jerseys made in the original way with 8 oz cotton, reinforced stitching and built for on pitch play, but just as at home on the touchline.
Sometimes the most sustainable way to make quality garments is to look to how they were originally made. This means sourcing local suppliers and getting to know the folks who construct the garments. Thinking about construction, design and materials to create items to be loved and worn for years to come. We pride ourselves on a heritage built on standards.
